Australian Army demonstrates innovative new equipment being introduced into service at the Army Demonstration Days held in Canberra 19 and 20 Jun 17.

The Army’s Demonstration Days showcased Army’s modernisation projects to the Government, interested ex-service members, Defence personnel and the public.

Amongst the showcased equipment were special operations vehicles, the Rheinmetall MAN HX 77 Integrated Load Handling System, the Hawkei lightweight protected vehicle, and impressive Land400 contenders, the BAE Systems Australia Patria AMV35 and the Rheinmetall Boxer CRV.

These latter two Armoured Fighting Vehicles are currently undergoing testing and evaluation as part of a 12-month risk mitigation activity to assist Defence in picking which system is more suited to their needs.
